Release 03: Digimon World Re:Digitize Chapter 2

A Bored Tamer brings you the concluding chapter of the manga series adaptation of the Digimon video game heard around the world!
(bleh, it's late. i can't think of anything funny.)

Here it is, folks. Yes, there are only two chapters of this, as this serves mainly as a prologue to the PSP game. For those who have the game already or are watching the YouTube LPs...you know what happens next.

Special thanks again to Xros Raws for providing the raws and onkeikun for doing the translation. I also was not expecting that it would become this popular when I first decided to do this project, so thanks again to all the fans, from 4chan to the reddit subscribers on /r/digimon and everyone in between, for giving me the motivation to do this short (but fun) project. (Yes, I do check where the heck all my traffic is coming from :P)

At the moment, this will probably be the last Digimon-related project I'll be doing for now. I may find random stuff here and there to do, but I don't plan on participating in the English translation project of the PSP game or subbing the YouTube LPs. As much I would love to do the Digimon Xros Wars manga, the raw provider will not let other groups aside a certain group scanlate it. Regarding the status of how that's going along, your guess is just as good as mine; I've already tried contacting the group leader to no avail. If any of the project members are reading this, I would love to help in any way possible, so please don't be afraid to give me a holler.

Anyway, have fun reading the final chapter of the Re:Digitize manga! Enjoy!

Release 02: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Chapter 1

A Bored Tamer brings out a new project and his second release, the first chapter of the "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor" manga!

Whew, this was a crazy one, as the amount of pages in this one was nearly double that of Re:Digitize, but I managed to finish it somehow. The .png version came out to about 112MB total, a pretty hefty size for one chapter, so I've converted it down to .jpg to put it on par with a normal chapter size. Speaking of Re:Digitize, I have already gotten pre-approval from Xros Raws to use his raws, and from onkeikun, whose translation will be used and released on Digital Scratch the same time the second chapter is scanlated. I believe the latest issue has just been released over in Japan, but it will take some time for Xros Raws to get it and scan the raws, so please be patient and be sure to check the Project Status for any updates.

I'd also like to mention that while I know some Japanese, it unfortunately isn't enough to translate an entire chapter. As a result, my personal "translation" consists mostly of throwing it into Google Translate & WWWJDIC and English-ifying the results. It isn't 100% perfect, but for the most part, what's being said is generally accurate, albeit a few sentence wordings here and there. However seeing as it is a manga adaptation of a video game, some of the dialogue in the game and the manga are basically the same. Some of the translation has partially been taken from the official English adaptation done by Atlus, mainly to ensure the dialogue is nearly accurate and also to save time trying to figure it out myself. Credits have been given in its respective page, as I don't intend to intentionally plagiarize anytime soon. Hopefully, I don't get too much flak for this.

There is a lone shot of a guy's body partially eaten by a monster that occurs on page 28. While it isn't extremely gory in my opinion, a bit of viewer discretion is advised.

As for my mini-disclaimer, I don't own the Devil Survivor / Shin Megami Tensei series or Monthly Shounen Sirius, Atlus and Kodansha do. This is a free scanlation done by a SMT:DS fan for any interested fans, not for any commercial means. Please support Atlus by buying the games for the Nintendo DS & 3DS, because Atlus is awesome. And so is the Devil Survivor series.

Anyway, enjoy another series with character designs done by Suzuhito Yasuda!
